Fostering

Fostering is one of the most rewarding things in rescue. Without our dedicated foster homes, we would not be able to take in the dogs that we do.
When you commit to fostering a rescue dog with us, there are a few things that are important to know. We never adopt out a rescue dog until full vetting and evaluations are done to help ensure the best possible adoptions.
This can mean that your foster dog could be with you anywhere from one month to several months, depending on when the right match comes up for that particular dog.

What to Expect From Us:

You can expect on going support for any training or behavior work needed with your foster dog, although we make a point of not putting any really challenging dogs into our foster program unless a specific foster is experienced for those particular medical or training needs.
We provide all food, leashes, collars, crate, vet care etc.

What is Expected From You, the Foster:

We expect that you will keep open and honest communication about your foster dog and provide a safe, stable and loving environment for your foster while he or she awaits their permanent family.
We have specific guidelines in place to ensure the safety and well being for your foster dog , such as safe fencing, proper transport, nutrition, staying on lead at all times, etc and expect our foster homes to respect this for the sake of their special foster dog.
We develop very close working relationships with our foster people and value what they do for rescue!

To Apply to Foster:

Please email us at rrppdog@hotmail.com to apply to foster and we will send out some questions for you to open up communication. If we don't have a specific foster dog for you, we also network with some great rescues who would love to chat with committed foster people!
